Hamsa Parab I agree with this as well since the family feud is the main conflict of the story that got in the way of Romeo and Juliet being able to love each other. This was the situation that they were put in, which called for desperate, love filled measures, tragically ending in death.

Jasleen I agree with your opinion of their eventual death being the parent's fault. Hate blinded them from the pain they were causing their children. They got so caught up in protecting their pride they became ignorant to the issues they were causing by their never-ending feuds. If they became more aware of their actions they might have prevent the death of their children.

Reader It wasn't the parents' fault that Romeo and Juliet fell in love though. If they both were Montague or Capulet, then them falling in love wouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Therefore, I believe that it is Romeo and Juliet's bad fate that was the cause of their death, and not the families.
