Carla, so sorry to hear that he passed. I'll keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers. I can understand your mom's concern. I think when folks separate, there's still the concern that one spouse will have second thoughts and they might end up reconciling.
I did date someone my whole family didn't like and ended up marrying him, it only last a year, I wish I would have listened to my family. Years later I started dating my 7th grade boyfriend and took him to meet my wise grandmother, it was instant approval, my whole family loved him. Here we are 30+ years later, two grown children and six grandkids.
So sorry to know he's passed away. 34 years is wonderful. Thoughts and prayers.
Wow. That's wonderful Lori. I married my HS sweetheart. Still going strong.
