Joan Bannan Thank you Marny. I felt the same. It challenged some of my preconceived ideas and drew me closer to my Lord and Savior. I enjoyed it as fiction as I did the Chronicles of Narnia. I didn't tear apart the doctrine, I just read to enjoy and I did. This is silly, but one of my fave parts is when Jesus says to the protagonist something like, "So you think I'm ugly." I giggled.

Rosemary It was the only book that I have ever started reading again immediately after finishing it. I read it the second time to savour it and think more about it. I loved it. I found the way God is portrayed to be refreshing but also in line with Biblical interpretations - there are references to the feminine aspects of God in the Old Testament for example. The story itself was very moving. I've just recently seen the film and thought it was OK but not as good as the book.

Sandra I really enjoyed the novel; I just watched the movie last week. The book is always better than the novel. Ideal for those who are struggling to find their spiritual path.

To get an idea of how intensely God loves you Imagine your self singing this duet with God https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npAbv... We forget how personally God cares. Until God atkes human form and we can look into his eyes as he sees us and hear his voice as he speaks to us it does not hit us how very much he cares
