I just finished it last week. I thought it was pretty good! I thought the whole magic element could have been a little better explained, but other than that no complaints!
I agree with Chad that you're left waiting for full explanations, but the magic, danger and unexplained are the core of this book. Makes you realise that we are still children,,,,,,very small children, at that.....in terms of the universe. Loved it, incidentally.
I enjoyed the book, first off. The time slippage and weaving of threads from past and future, seemingly time out of mind, mixed with the concept of a stewardship of reality was fascinating to me. I have always enjoyed writings that stretch my view of what I can see and delve below it's surface.
