I think that the giver is sort of static but round. He has a lot of character traits but i mean he doesn't change very much throughout the story.
The Giver does not change. That's definite. But he does play a huge role, and its surprising that the guy named after the title could not be dynamic. His importance is shrunk due to his lack of dynamicism
I feel that though the giver plays a large role in the story, it doesn't necessarily mean that he has to change. His amount of traits does contribute to the story but he is round but he is static.
I think the Giver is round and static.
