Yes, that is exactly true. It is very hard emotionally to lose your heroes, but in a way that is what makes the series great.
What an awesome quote! But i sort of wish it wasnt true. I want all the starks to survive and not worry about them dying! (dont worry, I've seen the show and I know all their fate but I'm just saying... don't die sansa, arya, bran and rickon!)
that's a very good reason.. probably part of what makes his books so engrossing
