Kaela Buenaventura I agree with your statement, children need to be exposed to sensitive topics sooner or later. Books with darker themes help people to mature and learn how to handle it. It is much easier for children to grasp concepts in books, than to grasp real-life concepts.

Nicole Figueroa I agree with you Samantha. I feel like these kind of books give kids slight life experiences and shows them what the real world looks like.

Eric Thomas I agree with your post. Teens should get expose to all the bads that may be happen in today's society. It will help kids get an sight taste how the world is going to be when they grow up. Things like Racism and Prejudice are some of the many problems that are occurring around the world and books like “To Kill a Mockingbird” touches on these and brings light to the problems.
