True, but again of everyone is cured, you do not realize your life is empty without it.
I don't think that's true. You don't have to know what specifically is missing to know that something is indeed missing and that your life is empty.
In this book before she was supposed to be cured, she did indeed know something was off. She knew she wouldn't care anymore about anything much after she was cured. I think she believed in the system, but had her doubts about whether she wanted to be like everyone else.
