Really? Because that's my impression of every Tea Party and GOP member whenever they open their mouths to issue the same barrage of right-wing rhetoric and appeals to basic instinct. Funny how perceptions can be shaped by our own political biases, eh? ;)
It's the *delivery* that fascinated me, not the content... there was a robotic tonal quality to it that I've never heard before or since, from anyone anywhere in the political spectrum. But Orwell's description of it was dead-nuts accurate.
I will say though, I've never seen the so-called "Tea Party" people rhythmically chanting in repetition the way the OccuBots do at their rallies. That, frankly, terrifies me; it's clearly recognizable as nascent fascism.
