Thank you Bobby for your answer but I still have a problem with a 13 year old Jenna. Even your example shows a mental growth but not a physical one. I've just not ever heard or read about a spirit physically aging after they had died.
When Jenna meets Gideon in Tennessee he tells her that Alice was pregnant with his baby. What happened to the baby or did I miss that
Alice lost the baby - miscarriage when she had the accident. She went to the hospital but then left the hospital on her own. She talks about losing the baby at the end of the book.
She says she lost two babies too. Hers and GIdeon's that she miscarried and obviously Jenna. Although it is hard to depict a growth of Jenna, I always remember it as what if Jenna grew up and this is how she was, acted, looked. Seen through the eyes of Serenity, the miracle worker in this book. It's interesting.
