I REALLY dislike him too, but I don't think he's enough bad to stop reading because of it. And yeah, maybe he had reasons to be a cry baby, I would be one too, but he's really stupid
I think most people think they would handle a situation so much better than most characters when they're snuggled up warm with a book/film, but I think most people would fail quite spectacularly. I think Dashner was just trying to make realistic characters with blatant
