Dinah, I just re-read the last chapter, and you are absolutely right. The time frame of this last chapter slips back to before Chapter One. Thanks for the explanation!!
I just finished this book, and your explanation of the last chapter as a
"prequel" to the entire story makes
great sense. Good thing, because for a
while my mind was considering parallel
universe and/or a Lolita-like thing
between Holly and Stephen. This was my first Tana French book and now I want to explore her other work, great find!
