THANK YOU! I was going to make own post saying EXACTLY this but you hit the proverbial nail on the head before I got the chance!
It's not a love story but the love story was a part of it, I honestly think the whole love triangle should have been skipped entirely it would have been a better story. Otherwise you are correct.
