Dang it! This is not really what I wanted to hear as I became disinterested at this point. I did go back and skim it and gained some things here and there, but this comment makes me want to go back and try it all over again.

It just pains me to lose 30-60 minutes in this book to reread a part that did not excite me.

I suppose I wandered and became uninterested because there are so many other things going on that am super anxious and excited to read about, and this just added another plot point. It added more characters which are never again mentioned according to "x-ray" in what at first seemed to be a long winded and unnecessary dream-like sequence that was unneeded in an otherwise action packed book.

Ah "The Road to the Spear" and "The Dedicated". I can more or less recite those two chapters by heart. I agree, they are some of the best written in the series.

It's also mysterious, because this is the first time we meet those characters and each scene goes further back in time which is unusual in pretty much all of literature. :)
