James Dashner (the author) has a niece who's husband is korean and named Minho.
Thats where the name MINHO comes from
In an interview James Dashner said that he wanted one or two names in the book that aren't like anyone famous. He said that he did this because the book is placed in the future, so there would be some people we don't know. He said that Minho is that character.(I don't know if there are others or if he is the only one, but he is one of them.)
