Yes,exactly! Barchester Towers is just as funny as P and P!
I've just started reading Trollope seriously. I've read Can you forgive her? and I want to work my way through the Palliser novels before I start the Barchester Chronicles.
I am pleased that Trollope has been mentioned. He has been one of my favourite writers for years. My personal faves are 'The Claverings' and 'Rachael Ray'.
