Agreed!!!! I came her to write that exact moment and you beat me to it. I'm a mom and I never really thought of it in that context, that if you lose your child you really might not be a mom anymore. It really hit home and tugged at my heart strings, by far the saddest moment in the book next to Gus's letter.
