Cece :) Oh I'm sorry! I just really love to pick books apart detail by detail and as I reread the book each time, new little symbols and foreshadowing devices just jump out at me! Like the snowman build of both dirt and snow, or the teacher talking about the Holocaust and how it's bad that people treat jews differently (irony :)) and Tim Johnson the dog, whose name sounds very similar to Tom Robinson and also symbolises the mockingbird type, and also is merged the memory of the mob scene, suggesting that Atticus is dealing with animals both times: "...the memory of Atticus calmly folding his newspaper and pushing back his hat became Atticus standing in the middle of an empty waiting street, pushing up his glasses..." So, whether others see it and like to talk to talk about it or not, I like to talk about this book and its little details :) thank you for prompting a little more thought for me this afternoon, and I like how you mentioned the author's personality, I didn't know that! :)
