I guess it gives people hope who are so badly depressed about losing a loved one. I just don't believe in the afterlife. The Bible doesn't support the idea of the soul living on after death. Ezekiel 18:4 says the soul that is sinning, it itself will die. And the Psalms speak of the righteous and the meek possessing the earth and living forever upon it. Psalms 37:29. So I do think Heaven is For Real. God, Jesus, the angels, etc live there. But humans - we were created to live on earth.
