He makes Edward Cullen's behavior look gentlemanly.
Thank you so much for this laugh! The sad thing is there are real guys out there like this. But the women involved CHOOSE to be a part of it. I for the life of me can't understand why.
GAWD YES. But I didn't really notice because they're so flat and drab they were useless. Did I mention they were useless?
Agreed. Though he wasn't my least favorite he was a scary stalker and control freak. Romanticizing an abusive relationship is never good and I'm not talking about the kinky sex.
"Stop hating people." NEVER. I especially hate characters that were made so that the reader should like/love them but actually does abusive and horrible things. What a manipulative way to write a story.
A good author understands what the majority would love in the areas of characterization. As a bestselling author, I'm not sure if I will call it manipulation and more so of what would sell and what won't. Bad guys, sex, love triangles, etc. Authors duplicate these elements because we know that books of these kind sell more and faster than others. I write about bad guys. My female fans LOVE them both. Because of my female fans, all of my books have continued to hit the Amazon bestsellers list. Sparrowlicious, I am definitely curious as to what you would say after reading one of my novels. So much so that I'm willing to gift it to you on Kindle, if you'd like. The book I'm referring to is titled The Blood Feud. I think what sets my book apart from James' series is my bad guy has a 'heart.' Does he do bad things? Not in regards to his relationship, no. That's the one line he will never cross and doesn't allow anyone else to cross. Is he bad? Mostly definitely. So I wonder if YOU would like my bad guy. :-)
