Kiki I agree with you. i tried at least 5 times to get into it and never got past page 200. I do not understand all the hype.
Did you mean BORING??? NO, it is NOT boring!!!
They are thick books and Gabaldon includes all the details - that's her style.
Since I love many of the peripheral topics (like the history of Scotland and herbology), I find all the reading enjoyable. Perhaps those aspects of the novel are what you find boring?
No! I will say, though, it didn't REALLY take off for me until Claire walked between the stones. After that, it was pretty much non-stop action.
