Christina van Deventer is an award-winning South African/Icelandic writer, lyricist and illustrator. She has various short stories and children's books published in her native Afrikaans as well as a novella and more short stories in English. She has illustrated the wonderful Afrikaans children's books, "Die Groentetuin", "Bonna en die plaasdiere" and "Nagfees in Kabouterland", which was authored by her mother, Ansie van Deventer. The last is also available in English, titled "A Fairyland Soiree" as well as in Icelandic, titled "Kvöldveisla í Fjallsaladal".

When Christina is not writing, she travels to exotic places, fights demons in ESO and reads medical research papers for fun.

Argh. I tried. DNF because I found nothing to suspend disbelief. Couldn’t relate to the characters or events. The blurb made it seem so interesting 😔
