Nero Wolfe
Wolfe lives in a luxurious New York City brownstone on West 35th St. He's portly and sedentary. A private detective, he prefers to solve cases from the comfort of his home. While he usually favors this approach, it's not entirely uncommon for him to travel out of his house at times if the circumstances of a case demands it. He's usually aided / accompanied by Archie Goodwin, who does most of the legwork for Wolfe - almost anything pertaining to a case that occurs outside Wolfe's brownstone.
