PAUL AUTHIÉ (1965 – )
Born in Montauban, Paul Authié is an unscrupulous, ruthless lawyer who, bankrolled by his estranged wife’s money and helped by his membership of the Noublesso Véritable, has built a formidable reputation in Carcassonne as an anti-immigration, pro-Church advocate.
Authié attended the École Nationale d’Administration in Paris, and is known to be a member of the Front National. He has contacts within the police force and the criminal milieu.
Although ambitious and prepared to do anything to achieve his goals, he is a devout Catholic, making substantial donations to the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits.
