Collem West
Collem West is a baseborn major in the Union army, and a secondary Point-of-View character throughout the trilogy. Collem West begins the series as Jezal dan Luthar's commanding officer and friend.
West was born and raised in Angland with his sister, Ardee. Rising through the army ranks was not easy as a commoner, and West, having no natural talent for fencing nor any influential contacts, had to work harder than most.
