There were two instances of the name "Mandubratius" we found while conducting our research. One instance was the Chieftain of the Iceni and father of Boudicca, while the other was a man who had a contested claim of the Chieftainship of the Trinovantes, and had persuaded Gaius Julius Caesar to help him remove Mandubratius' uncle from the Chieftainship in exchange for tin and pearl interests. We incorporated the second Mandubratius unto the story. While the real Mandubratius went on to fight along side Caesar during the civil war against Pompii Magnus (where Mandubratius died), we fictionalized his character somewhat, though he still "dies" in that famous battle.
