Robert William Komer (1922 - 2000) was an American national security adviser known for managing Civil Operations and Revolutionary Development Support. Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Komer graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Business School, later serving in World War II and joining the Central Intelligence Agency in its infancy in 1947.
