Robert Catesby
Robert Catesby (1573 – 8 November 1605), born in Lapworth, Warwickshire, or possibly in Northamptonshire, to a rich strongly Catholic family, was the leader of the Gunpowder Plot. This was a conspiracy by a group of Catholic conspirators to blow up King James I of England and Parliament.
