Legolas
aliases
Legolas Greenleaf
Legolas is the son of Thranduil, king of Mirkwood. He develops an unlikely friendship with Gimli the dwarf; elves and dwarves are traditionally enemies.
Legolas was chosen as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring at the Council of Elrond. After the breaking of the Fellowship, Legolas accompanies Aragorn and Gimli to search for Merry and Pippin. They are reunited at Isengard. Later, Legolas and Gimli accompany Aragorn as he journeys on the Paths of the Dead.
Legolas fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and the Battle of the Morannon. After the War of the Ring, Legolas stayed in Middle Earth until the death of Aragorn. Then, he and Gimli left Middle Earth and sailed into the West.
