Afghan guerilla leader and one of the headmen of the anti-Taleban group the Northern Alliance.

Massoud is seen as one of the main forces who drove the Soviet Army out of Afghanistan.

Massoud was killed two days before the 9/11 attacks, by Tunesians who claimed to be journalists from Belgium.

Massoud is an official national hero of Afghanistan.
