Admiral Nogura was a Starfleet flag officer who served during the late 23rd century.
Nogura temporarily transferred command of the USS Enterprise to Rear Admiral James T. Kirk, and demoted Captain Will Decker. The transfer was done at Kirk's request in reference to the V'ger crisis.
Nogura was also responsible for "drafting" Doctor McCoy by invoking the little-known, seldom-used reserve activation clause, much to the doctor's initial frustration.…more
