Robert Arbuthnot
Robert Arbuthnot was a Scottish banker. Born in Aberdeen, he fought on the Jacobite side in the battle of Killiecrankie. He subsequently established himself as a wholesaler in Rouen and later acted as agent for the financier John Law in the port.
