Tom

The oldest of an Afro-American group of people embarked in the Waldeck. He was sold in Africa as a slave at the age of six years, then brought to the United States, had been freed after some years by the Emancipation Proclamation. He belonged to Pennsylvania. Embarked in the Waldeck until they were rescued by the Pilgrim and joined Dick Sand and Mrs. Weldon in their adventure.
