Mark Preston
Student at the London School of Economics at the same time as Isabel Brenner. Though they were lovers then, they still keep in touch as friends. He decided against a banking career and is an open-source investigative journalist specializing in digital data. By exposing corrupt Russian oligarchs, he became an enemy of the Kremlin and had to go into hiding.
