Albert Rogers
A former soldier under Sidney’s command in the war, who was maimed and later died. Sidney feels guilty for all the deaths of the men under his command, because he inspired them to fight. Max says the top brass knew Sidney was good at boosting morale and would never have promoted him out of the trenches because of that—so they used him, too. Verity convinces Sidney later to visit Albert’s widow and young children.
