Robert Chalmers
Robert Chalmers (1959 - 2019) was a Scottish architect, musician and Reforesting Scotland volunteer.
He served as a Director of Reforesting Scotland in the 1990s, working on its Buildings in the Forest projects and providing IT support. He was also a volunteer with the Taliesin Community Woodland in Galloway.
After working for various housing associations and architects, he set up his own practice in May 2009, based in the cottage in Wardie Square, Granton, that he shared with his wife Rachel Farey.
Chalmers was also a founder of the band Caulstane Slap.
A woodland fund set up in his memory has supported the development of Roamers Wood, a community woodland initiative in West Linton, Peeblesshire.
