Albert Libchaber
Albert Joseph Libchaber (born 23 October 1934, Paris) made major contributions in experimental condensed matter physics. In particular, he carried out the first experimental observation of the bifurcation cascade that leads to chaos and turbulence in convective Rayleigh–Bénard systems.
