Grace Sinclair

Sinclair family matriarch and lifelong resident of St. Dennis, Maryland. Lives at the Sinclair historic family mansion-turned-inn (“The Inn at Sinclair Point”) in St. Dennis, and runs her father’s weekly newspaper, the St. Dennis Gazette. Well into her 80s, she remains active on various civic boards and committees. Known to have ‘the Sight’. Keeps a journal, snippets of which appear in each book of “The Chesapeake Diaries”. Survived husband Dan’s death, has three children: Dan, Lucy, and Ford. Her sister Carole died (along with her husband Allen) when their son Alec was a young boy, so brother Cliff Ellison (Ellison’s Boat Shop) raised Alec.
