An 8D-series smelter droid who worked in the restaurant Ronto Roasters in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, turning the spit that cooked meat under the podracer engine roaster in the middle of the restaurant.

The droid was programmed by Droid Depot proprietor Mubo for restaurant owner Bakkar, who later complained about 8D-J8's constant talking. Mubo suggested Bakkar try deactivating and reactivating the droid.

Some time prior to working on Batuu, 8D-J8 spent time on Tatooine with Jawas.…more
