David Cartwright
A legend within MI-5 (the power behind First Desk); now retired, living in Kent. Told anyone else who asked that he worked for the Ministry of Transport. He and wife Rose (now deceased) raised grandson River from the age of 7–when daughter Isobel dumped him on her parents. She calls her father the “Old Bastard” (“O.B.”). Moved to Berkshire in Book 5.
