Born on 3 March 1581. From an aristocratic French Huguenot (Protestant) family that fled persecution in France in the 1600s, only to find persecution of a different sort in England (Suffolk). Lived in greater London for several lifetimes. Now teaches history to year nines at Oakfield School in Tower Hamlets, London. (Spelling “Estienne” is likely a misspelling of “Etienne”.)
