Religion is giving pseudo solutions for problems like hunger, poverty and discrimination and people are exploiting these things for their own purposes; political and capitalist. There are nations which are power mongers and hungry for power and control. It's their greed of the past and present which is taking shape of terrorism.(less)

There are several occurrences of torture reported but not graphically described if carried out by the "good guys." They do, though, very much support assassinations. If one condemns torture, which, terrible though it is doesn't necessarily lead to death, but does support killing the victim, does that somehow justify their behavior?(less)

Panicking about closing in on the end of the Gabriel Allon series. Anyone have recommendations for a similar spy series? Silva is SUCH a good writer, I'm worried I've been spoiled and will be irritated with anyone else.
