3) The inclusion of the murder of a young girl in the Ottawa Valley is never successfully integrated into the plot - yes, the young man accused of the murder is championed by the high school principal. But why is it there, really?
4) How much of our destiny is predetermined by our knowledge of our family history. Is it better to know or not to know? What is the role of a collective memory transferred from the one generation to another?
