Also found it long winded and unnecessarily jumping from one interesting point to another unrelated point. A pity as I felt this had the making of a good read - are all is books so long winded and detailed? Disappointed but will try another one of his books.

Perhaps this author is simply not for you. There are plenty of short books that are not so long winded and detailed, and of course, plenty of others that are more so.(less)
