Everyone, once before they grow old should read this. After this, it depends upon your preference for genre of books.
It starts with something boring but then goes on telling various events with writer's notes following every major event.
I am still in the mid-way but I sincerely think that everyday I read it, it helps me to be a better Indian.

Author distorts the stories along with the addition of some of the folklores and blends it with his half baked conclusions. If you want to enjoy reading a book, then you may go for it and wonder about the question asked there without realizing its real essence. (less)

That way the …moreI think it would be more appropriate for an older person say one of the parents or grandparents to read and explain it to a 11 year old. That way the child will be able to assimilate more and understand it better. Also, the story can be told in parts yo make it interesting. Else, an 11 year old reading it all by herself may find it heavy read, may lose interest or may not be able to understand the deeper, philosophical message contained in the book.(less)
