When idolizing fans throw themselves at celebrities, it's hard for the recipient of such attention to say no. The same applies in today's world as it did then. Some women would never put themselves in that scenario...even if the women's movement hadn't existed. BUT, as to the possibility of rock and roll causing the Rat Pack's demise, that is a real possibility. The public is like a moth, fickle and always looking for that new, brighter light. Also, as the music-buying public ages, the next generation becomes wage-earners, wanting something Daddy didn't listen to.(less)
