While general attitude of the populace in relation to women and how the community felt about witchcraft is discussed, there isn't an in-depth discussion on religion. Note that these trials occurred after those in Salem and were very much influenced by them. Participants were mindful of repeating the same mistakes. That's interesting to note, since it clarifies that not everyone in colonial New England were determined to find and hang witches.(less)
