I have a question about this wonderful picturebook. It says in the book that the relatives came from Virgjinia, but I wonder where (which state) they headed for. They needed to cross over different mountais and it seems it took a coupel of (or several days) to get to the destination. The author leave that information unclear which surely makes us imagine a lot, but I just want to know what possible states are.?

I had the same exact question in mind for a long time so I had to google some produce questions. : ) I wonder what Cynthia Rylant would say.(less)
