There are mentions of prostitution, but the books make clear that this is …moreYes, I am on 6 of the series but there is no graphic violence or sexuality. There are mentions of prostitution, but the books make clear that this is a reality of the grinding poverty and class restrictions of the era (there is no alternative employment for poor uneducated women) but that is the closest I would think these books come to objectionable material.

Paganism is mentioned, so if the family is religious that might be considered offensive but I should think that objection would remain regardless of age.(less)
