I listened to this book, so maybe I missed something - but how did the story about the two brothers in the beginning of the book (Saul & Jacob) connect with the events that took place later? Where did the clock that Jacob took end up? The clock maker made two clocks, as you find out later in the book, but which was which? The story of the clockmaker seemed unfinished as well as the story of the two brothers

How do Make and Sol fit into this story? Jake took the clock with him, was Magda the girl?

There were so many characters introduced in the first five chapters of this book that I decided to take notes on how they related to the story. I'm confused about how Sol & Jake Rosenberg & Jake's employer's death factor in besides that they had the clock. Did I miss something?
